Privacy

We collect as little as we can.

• Waiting list: if you join the free alerts waiting list, we store your email address, the page you joined from and the date. We use it only to tell you when free tornado alerts launch, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
• Location: "Use my location" asks your browser for your position only when you tap it. It is used in your browser to look up warnings and is not stored by us.
• Address search: addresses you search are sent to the US Census Geocoder to find their position. We do not store them.
• Third parties: pages load map tiles from OpenFreeMap, radar from Iowa State University, warnings from the National Weather Service and fonts from Google Fonts, which receive standard request information such as your IP address.
